Cheers 4/21/10 Big Lake

Learned a few things on the water today!!! I have come to understand fishing a lot better! I know now that God placed Birds on big lake for entertainment! I have not seen a set of birds yet but there has been a slew of boats just waiting for go.......... One bird picks and off to the races they go...........I was *****x100000000000.......

While the no yos were chasing the Feathers My wife and I were sling the hell out of trout off slick in the middle of the lake!!!! I only thew top water until 8:30am........ Had at least 200 blow ups!!! Once the slicks stop popping up......we left to go fish some banks..........Tied on a broke back BOMBER and stuck a few nice fish ... Had one trout kill it before I could click my reel...Lost her

Then we finished up or limit drifting a few reefs...........Caught about 45-50 trout overall!!!

Found the Big Lake Crumb Snatcher on I-10...AKA ASR

The biggest threat to Big Lake is Internet reports. There will be 200 boats driving around the middle of the lake looking for slicks now but only after burning the whole east bank and every reef close to the east bank.

East bank is a hwy to the weirs...and the paper puts out a report weekly and the lake is filled with idiots so now its just a challenge to get ahead of the game....

nahhh... they are more of a threat to regulars who have a sense of entitlement.... the new people don't catch enough fish to be a threat to big lake..I would think its the people that fish it on a steady basis...and the guides who rape it daily...but of course that is somehow ok...
