Well, it turned into just a boat ride. First off, trolling motor wouldn't work but I figured I would still give it a try. Left the boat dock in Lake Arthur and drifted a little while with no luck. Left there and went north to some canals that I thought would be clear but couldn't find clear water for nothing. Saw lots of fish on the screen but they were all in the deep water so I am thinking they were shad. Oh well, it was good to get out and not have to work.
I am hoping that the winds die down next week, it looks like I will be a residence of Johnson Bayou/Holly Beach pretty soon for work and I am hoping to be able to hit Sabine Lake and Calcasieu Lake in the afternoons. Warren |

Sounds about like my trips. At least you got to get out on the water even if it was for a boat ride. Beats sitting in an office!

I hear you. I have to drive daily to Johnson Bayou from Lake Arthur 8 days straight with only 3 days off. So I have to make the best of my time off. Warren |
