Default North VB Report

Took off this morning from from Quintana at sunrise and headed to the trashpile. Picked up 2 reds and gafftops. It slowed down so we headed to the mouth of the Avery and pulled in 2 white trout and gafftop. Made to haul to the hammock and caught one nice trout. Called it a day by 1. It was a really slow day. I guess that why its called fishing and not catching. Anyone else go out today?

I just recognized the boat. I think it was the hwy 14 exit or around that area.

I drove to the pt after the horrible teal hunt this morning. Caught a handful of trout an about 22 gaft tops at dry reef. Dead shrimp under a popping cork. Rain caught me so I ran back to the camp.

Haha nice!! I think I saw yall out there. My boat wouldn't get on step, I think our oil sensor is out. We idled all the way to the end of the camps. We caught a bunch of sailcats, a fair amount of whites, and a few keeper specs.

Using shrimp this time of the year all you will normally catch is trash fish. Get some live finger mullet or pogys. For redfish cut mullet or lady fish works great on the bottom and under a cork. Of course most of us rather use artificial.
