Wow. Was not going to post but I honestly cannot believe what I'm reading.

What a waste of a thread.

We have:
A) A lot of very hate filled "Christians" on this site
B) Lot's of ignorance
C) Closed minded individuals who don't realize the entire world is changing and will always be changing.

Back in the early 1900's, people were appalled to let women have the right to vote. 1960's was the civil rights movement. Now, gay couples can legally marry. Each generation has they're own significant change in legislation. It's part of the growing process and things are only going to continue to change. See things for what they are.

And I really am surprised at some of the more conservative Christians on here. If the government gives back the RIGHT to people to let them marry as they please, isn't that government actually getting out of the way and letting people do as they freely please? Isn't that true freedom for everyone in at least one aspect?

Default A Kalifornians opinion

Here we go ...POLITICS!

I live in the most "tolerant" liberal state in the country and I am leaving because of it. This is how I see your little issue here.

First, I don't know if being gay is a choice, I just know I never had a defining moment when I chose to like women. I just always liked girls and that is how it was.

Second, as a conservative I want a federal government that is so weak, it cannot control who gets married.

The less I listen to others opinions and the less I let them p**s me off, the less power they have.

In my opinion God loves everyone and hates all sin regardless of its nature. Ultimately judgement is his problem, and I am thankful he bears that burden for me as well as all my others.

I am wary that militants will go from promoting equal rights and protections, to enforcing acceptance. I look out for it.

I work with several openly gay/lesbian folks and as long as they stop the bleeding when I get shot or stabbed, and shoot straight and do their job, they are OK by me. I care about them enough to tell them about my relationship with God.

I try to live my life like it is the only bible they might ever read. I fail, but I get up tomorrow and try again.

As far as my kids are concerned I let those questions be opportunities to teach them what I know about it. I can't answer questions that aint been asked.

OK I asked for it, let me have it!
