Default Lake Charles and Prien Lake 11/18/2011

Tightline11 and I hit Lake Charles at daylight. Lotsa birds working all over the lake. Caught a few under birds, about half were throw backs. Had to measure every one. Last couple of weeks, no throw backs, all nice Trout in Lake Charles. Also no Reds today from that area.
We moved farther South and found some fish. We had to move about 300 or more yards with the trolling motor cause the spot we wanted to fish was past another boat and we didn't want to mess up their spot. Come to find out, it was another Saltycajun, Yellow Champ. Nice talkin to you.
We ended up finishing off our limit by 8:35 am. We had 1 fish at 4.5 lbs and 2 more around 2 lbs. The rest were between legal and 1.5 lbs.
All were caught on Marshworks popping corks and opening night w/chartruese tail H&H TKO Shrimp.
Winds were light, but cold, 45 degrees. Water temps around 64 degrees.
Fish were in 3 to 10 ft. of water. Water was very clear today.

There was 5 boats in Indian Bay this morning. There must have been something biting in that area too.

First year fishing Prien and Lake Charles area. I just look for bait. If I see fish popping or bait popping, Ray's popping cork starts flying.
I know the area, I been boating it for years. Just never fished it till this year.
There were not many boats out today, except the Indian Bay area. There was even an offshore boat with twin engines fishing in there.
There was one boat that passed right thru the area were were catching, but within 5 minutes, fish were back biting.

Finished our limit off a few minutes after ya"ll left. Hung around and caught and released for an hour or so while waiting for "Darrels" to start serving lunch.
Hard to beat those sandwiches !!!
Nice to meet ya"ll. You guys were extemly courteous when you came by.
Did not mess us up at all. Wish everyone fished liked that.
Thanks.
Glen
