Default Grand isle

The wife and I want to plan a trip to grand isle.
Looking for somewhere nice to stay for a weekend trip, dont want to suprise her driving up to a roach motel lol. Also, any advice for when would be the best time of year to go and are there any areas to fish out of a 18ft bass boat without getting beat by waves; not looking for anyones spot just trying to figure out if it would be pointless to bring the boat. Thanks

Check this place out!!!

Secluded Grand Isle/Fourchon area, Sportsman's dream offering best fishing views & accommodations. This 3 bed, 3 bath camp sleeps 12 people. Amenities include lighted piers, private boat launch & docks, BBQ pit, boiling pot, crab traps, fish cleaning area & everything needed. Call Mr. Farrel at 985-637-6258

If you look in Google Maps it will be the 2nd camp on the left after you get off the bridge "Gateway to the Gulf Expy" and turn towards Grand Isle. You can fish Ferblanc Bayou and Lake Laurier in your 18 ft Bass Boat without problems. At night right off the bank under the Light Post. Great Place!!!

You should be able to find a place on this website. http://www.grandislerentals.com/Rental_Properties.html
I've booked 3 different places with them and the camps have always been top notch. I don't know how to fish out there well enough to give you any real advice. There are a few regulars on here that fish there often. I'm sure they will help you

Plan your trip in July. Fish will be on the beach or just north of the island. So you can wade fish if it's too windy. Or you can always launch in fourchon
