Default Vermillion Bay 10-17

Slow fishing today at Trash Pile; Mud Point, Weeks Bay. Weather was purfect but I think the tide was changing so slow it didn't move any bait around. We caught two hughe Sail Cats threw them slimmers back in the trash pile where they came from. Ran over to Shark Bayou nothing, back to Mud Point two Trout 1 Spec, 1 White; both too small so we threw 'em back. Fished Weeks Bay caught a nice Flounder and called it a day.

I was wondering what was going on in the bay. What does the water look like around there?

I hadn't been doing this thing long enough to say that the water looks good or bad. It's Olive color, that's all I can say.

He was pretty big I guess. It weighted about 2 pounds after I cleaned it. It was about 2' long before I cleaned it. I don't know if that would qualify as big for around here, since I'm used of seeing Halibut big as a hood on a F-150 in Seattle.
