Default Busy two weeks.....

It's been a busy two weeks. The first week of December had us catching a ton of trout but as the water temperature climbed over 70 degrees the trout spread out and they haven't stacked up again. Luckily the bass bite has stepped up big time. We are catching trout and bass in the same areas which is always fun to experience. The bait choice is the same, Green Hornet and the Shrimp Creole Matrix Shad have been the only two baits needed. The bass are tight in the Roseau cane while the trout hit the bait as you work it back to the boat. We haven't targeted any reds of late but the majority that we are catching as by catch are the 15 inch size. This time of year targeting them reds in our big boats can be tough unless we have the blast of artic air pushing them into the deeper holes similar to the beginning of November. I continue to hear good things about Lake Decade if you don't mind dealing with a 1000 boats.
