Default Tough @ Toledo

Fished yesterday and this morning, wind blew us to hell and back... Just a couple of keepers we gave to another fisherman...

Launched out of Buckeye, water extremely low around launch... Stuck boat yesterday afternoon returning to ramp...

NS boat lane going North out of Caney Creek bumped stumps, South to Boons Crossing ok but any further South and water goes to 2' on West side of lane...

Crazy dangerous out there

Will be back on a not so windy weekend, if the water doesnt drop out anymore...

Pic coming back into Buckeye

Only two foot or so of the ramp extends into the water, drops off after that but not enough to snag your trailer...

I fished out of pirates cove yesterday, 10-7-11. It was a slow day and winds was bad. Did manage my limit. Only caught maybe 15 fish that day, but had 8 nice keepers. Didn't have my camera so not pics.

Below is some pictures my buddy sent me from last weekend. They are pics of pirates cove boat launch. They dug it out and added 50ft of concrete to the launch. I launched my bay boat yesterday with no trouble.

toledobend.com is a good site to look at... Pics of the dam and generator station while under construction... Also has a good history of the lake article...

Thanks for the update on Pirates launch. I'm up here now at my camp Quiet Cove area. Glad to hear Pirates is back in operation. Didn't fish this weekend, my son and grandson came up for the youth hunt at our deer lease. Neighbors 11 yr. old shot a nice doe.

Just past Pendleton Bridge on the Tx side, the next bridge over that cove with that public launch a cement road is sticking out of the water.
