FlagUS Chemistry au Tigre

Anybody fish the Cheniere au Tigre area? Have you had success there? I've been reading about its history as a coastal resort in the 1930's. Are there any reefs along that section of coast similar to Tee Butte, Pavy or Diamond reefs? Any coordinates or maps you can share would be greatly appreciated.

Default Cheniere-au-Tigre

My mother grew up on Cheniere-au-Tigre at the old Sagrera Hotel. The only good place to fish is Tee-Butte or the rigs in Ver. 16.

I fish there every now and then, usually on my way to somewhere else. There are a series of rock breakwaters off of the beach that can hold some fish. I have mostly caught redfish out there on a rising tide. Its about 4 or 5 miles away from Tette Butte so if you are out there you may want to check it out. The water has to be up to get close enough to to rocks to fish them and it gets shallow quick. Its sandy bottom for the most part around the rocks so I imagine under the right conditions it may hold specks as well. I have never heard of people catching much other than reds out there though. Thats pretty much the only place to fish out there that I know of. There is not much to see either, pretty much everything been washed away over the years. I think there's a cattle barn thats visible but thats about it.
