Noticed last week when I go from 3 rd to 4th no change. So I am guessing switch. I had it changed a few years ago because it wasn't make good contact and was erratic. I guess I need to order or bring it somewhere. Anybody still work on them in Lake Charles? I took it to LCT last time but I had heard the mechanic had left them? It can't be to hard to change out.

Sounds like the switch... I had one go out on me on the same trolling motor... and they are very easy to change out. But if you want someone to work on it DHP on common st. can do it

Change it yourself it takes 10 minutes tops. The Minn Kota web site has a link for parts. It was $27 with shipping. I just changed mine.

Thanks for the replies. Ordering parts after I open it up and make sure a wire didn't come loose.

You can get the same switch on Amazon for about $ 17.

Part came in from Amazon and took under 10 to install. It is easier if you put motor in down portion for me anyway. Not a Minn Kota part so we will see how long it last.
