Default Turkeys

Went to my lease in St. Francisville to listen for gobblers this morning. Didnt have to walk 200 yards from my camp to the first food plot and heard 3 different ones. i sure hope they are still there come Saturday. One probably gobbled 20-30 times. I turned around and slipped back out of there. Good luck to everyone this weekend!

I also found a nice shed just layin in the middle of the food plot. turkey season is the best time to find nice sheds. i found a nice one last year also. this one had 6 points on one side! i tried uploading a pic of it but it told me the file size was too big.

Got on three birds this morning in MS. as soon as I hit the call three hens flew out of a tree about 60 yards from me and got with the toms. On hen came searching for me with a tom in tow, but he would never get close enough for a shot. Oh well there is always tomorrow.

They were hot and heavy all on there own this morning. Barring any major weather changes they should be just as fired up Saturday.

I gotcha, I know where ya at. I've hunted all up through there, (61 & Angola), Hunted Fort Adams for over 30 years. We hunted youth w/e last w/e in Ms, my youngest killed a 9 1/2" beard & 7/8" spurs, the gobblers hadn't busted up yet as of last w/e. This warmer weather they should be bustin up.
