Tuesday thru Saturday, they were thick around Ursa, Mars, Bully 1 and ATP Titan.
During the day, if you looked across the water, you would see one or two hit here and there, but around 3:30, the schools of Tuna would be busting the water about 1 to 1.5 miles from the platforms, and all the boats were fishing at the platforms.
Oblivious to all the Tuna hitting the water behind them.
The frenzy would last a couple hours, then stop, every evening.
Since the winds turned E to ESE, I haven't seen many hitting the top. But when the winds were North and seas flat, they were like Pirana in the evenings.

Thanks for the update! We were looking into heading that direction. I think now we are going to go out South Pass. Did the fish out of SW have any size? Reports are out that out of South pass the fish are thick just small which is ok with me!

Just a follow up report to my trip last week. We went to Elf out of South Pass. We caught 9 black fin and 2 yellow fin! All were caught on a diamond jig and a few on a live hardtail. The water reports showed that ELF and LENA were in some blue water but when we arrived that was not the case. IT looked like the blue water was underneath some dingy looking water on top. Oh well that is how it goes at times! We also caught 3AJ's and 3 Tile fish(according to my buddy these are some fine eating!)

Good catch. Those yellows have been shutting off early at Elf. Any pictures?

Ray have you seen any blue fin tuna? I've heard reports that several large schools have been spotted in the area of one of the rigs you mention.

The Tuna are a mile or two away from the platform in the evenings. I can't tell what they are. I do see them coming out the water, but they are not huge like most of the Blues we see now and then. I would suspect they were YF's, cause they are too big to be Blackfins.
I came home Tues. evening. Not sure how it looks now. But the 2 weeks we were there, they were in a feeding frenzy in the evenings.

We'll hopefully have a good report in a few days for yall. And a bunch of cool pics and video.we have two camera guys,a photographer, and an under water camera guy also. We had to delay our departure because of some electronics issues.hopefully a will be heading out soon.

Then once we are in and get a Lil rest we will be shooting stone inshore footage. Hopefully the top water bite is still on.
