TOLEDO BEND BRAWL

Blast off and Weigh times 7:30 -3:30

What a way to start the 2014 Well Hooked Bass Club tour, Toledo Bend took in 8 inches of snow Friday in the AM hours, this made for a tough tournament start.
The conditions at blast off were very CHILLY at 26 degrees, but it did manage
to reach the mid 50’s by weigh in time. The less favorable weather didn’t stop the tournament anglers; we managed to have 22 entries and this made for a very competitive tournament.
Fish Hogan and Adam Guinn took the top prize weighing in 15.56 lbs.
They made the long chilly ride south; but at the end it really paid off. Their favorite
bait of the day was a Shaky Head Rig.
Aaron Choate took the top Big Bass spot and 2nd place overall; with his largest fish weighing 7.14 lbs. and with an overall stringer weighing 14.16 lbs. Aaron fished the midlake area, And his best lure of the day was a Red Eye Rattle Trap.
Jared King and Robert Bell took the third spot weighing in 5.77 lbs. They were also fishing the midlake area targeting grass.
Great job for all anglers who tried their best and gave good sportsmanship.
Next up for the tour, will be Lake Conroe Clash, February 15th.
