Matt and his son made the trip from Waco to Grand Isle for some father and son fishing. Today was to be the tuna day followed by inshore Sunday. The gods had other plans as we blew a lower unit on the offshore boat about 20 miles out of the pass this morning. Limp in and a 30 minute delay and we were off in one of the bay boats.
Typical of late the water was low in the marsh, about 58 degrees and there were fish everywhere as we would watch them swim by the boat. But if you threw anything anywhere near them or had to touch the trolling motor they were spooked and running for the hills.
As soon as the water warmed a few degrees and the incoming tide started the fish had a change of attitude.
This trip was all about Brock and every fish hooked was handed off for this young man to fight until his arms were tired.
