Default Gumbo Verde(Green Gumbo)

This is a traditional dish mama usta make from what ever greens we had growing in the winter its a wonderful gumbo that is all but forgotten. here is how we make it the recipe is kinda rough cause ya use what ya got.

I bet it is some good. was lucky enough to meet dooky chase and enjoy a bowl of her gumbo z herbes. She said if it is green it can work in gumbo.

Ms Dooky's is very good but being in a restaurant she has to follow a recipe and make it the same all the way. In the old days mama used what was growing in this batch we had beet and carrot greens, with parsley and mesculn leafy green mix. It sure was tasty

Never tried that but I bet it's delicious. And I like the size of that gumbo bowl.

We think a like on the bowl size.

When ya start with bacon and add smoked sausage and Cajun spices how could it not be good?? What I love about it is its different pending on your greens
