Have you ever fished further south at the Bayou Black area? I'm just going off of things that I have read, so I could be wrong. They don't have a size limit, which we would enforce our own limit then, and the fish are actually bigger down on that end. If you have fished there I would appreciate your opinion on this.

Black bayou south of Vinton was very good for bass fishing before Ike. Since then, it's mostly redfish. Not worth the ride for me anymore.

Hey go fish Indian creek in Wordsworth, la. Crystal clear lake with good fishing. Fishing is a little tough there, but they've had multiple double digit bass caught out of there a couple years ago. The fish we usually catch in there are from 2-5#. The spawn is awesome fun there.

Bayou Amy is the bayou on the West side [outside of the basin] of the west Atchafalaya basin levee.

If you are traveling east on I-10, it is the first water you see as you drive up the hwy bridge. The water is usually very brown in color.

Yeah this is one we have looked into the hardest, because it a good fishery and not that far away. It will be on next season's schedule for sure.
