I have too big of a neck for buffs I guess. When just wearing them around my neck I feel like i'm choking so I always forget to bring it. My wife bought me a SIMMS one for my bday that is real nice though.

I just can't wear them. They aren't comfortable at all. I have 3-4 of them and never wore one before really. I get sun spots on my neck bad during the summer that's the only reason I attempt to wear them. Guess its bc I never wear sun screen.

i dont care how dumb i look if it allows me to not get burned. the only reason i got off the water at 1pm sunday was because i thought my feet were going to spontaneously combust from the sun and the fact i only brought sandals. i keep one in my boat and a long sleeve shirt. need to keep a pair of socks in there too i guess lol.

alphamn, what do you compete in?

U have to be joking to say that a 100% cotton shirt is equal to a performance or dri-fit material.

I've fished a lot in both, and that is my personal experience. Maybe details depend on body type, natural insulation, fit, propensity to sweat, etc.

That's the best thing you've ever posted. I mean that as an absolute compliment too.

Its usually wranglers, work boots, tee shirt, Glock and or 1911. I tend to relax a little more when im fishing the beach though. I take off my boots.

SIMMS shirts are good, I normally buy one new fishing shirt a year to add to the collection..they all seem to get dirty and have a few fish stains on them. Long sleeved shirts that are light weight are nice. But no "fishing shirts" can wipe a water spot off my sunglasses. I find Columbia fades fast, but I have one Mojo that has held up too. Under Armor is nice, but the one I got for Christmas is black…not the best color for summer
