I could be wrong but I thought those were striker fired. Not double action.

It's an sd40ve new sigma series . According to academy website it's double action with no safety . Two stage trigger . On smith & wesson website they seem to be only available at academy . The main thing I guess I was wondering if it weakens the spring any to keep it ready to fire or on a double action only the trigger cycles everything .

Double action has a stiff trigger pull because it pulls the hammer back every cycle. I would think the firing pin would be retracted on all double action. I think the firing pin stays cocked back on striker fired gins once a round is cycled in. But someone else may know more about it.
