Default Couldn't get on the Specks this Weekend

launched before daylight and hit some reefs, NADA. Finally picked up the first speck later in the morning and it shot out of my hand when trying to put it in the ice chest. What a bummer. Hit the jetties and ended up with a Trophy Gafftop and an undersized red. With no fish in the box by mid morning, that Trophy hit the ice. Decided to give up on the specks and try to salvage the trip. Ended up picking up a sheepshead, four reds, and 14 Flatties on Gulp Swimming Mullet fished slowly bouncing off of the bottom.

I took the 3 biggest ones and my family are going to provide the crab meat.
Gasper likes them fried I like them stuffed. Afraid to try them fried because I might like them too much.

Was a tough day but we were able to turn it around by not giving up. Had a great time with my podna's.

At jetties we only caught a throwback red and that trophy gafftop. Did see a boat put a trout in the boat while we were trying to pick up a few finger mullet for bait.
