Packed is a understatement. Luckily when I got there at 11 a boat came in and was parked by launch so I got his spot. Otherwise I would have had to walk a mile to park.

Heard it wasn't bad at all. My buddy said less than 100 boats.

Nice fish there. Wish people would learn to let the big ones go so we could have a good fishery again.

Good fishery? I think its back to what it once was. There were some nice fish caught today. My nephew had a 21lb stringer with 3 fish. Last year I had two fish over 7lbs and two over 6lbs in one day. And next day had an 8.5lb fish. Seen few fish come out of there over 10lbs caught by the same person and they were released. Take some time and do some sight fishing. There is some pigs still out there they are just very smart. I stayed on 2 fish last year that were probably close to 10lbs I struck out on both of them.

What makes you think I don't sight fish? I have fished that place for many yrs and I have caught my fair share of extra large bass out of there. It's a subject that some people are a little tender hearted over on both sides. Some people say it doesn't matter how many big fish you keep out of there because someone else will just keep it or there is always another big one to replace that big one. Some say let the big ones go and grow and keep the smaller fish. I'm just saying it's still not back to what it was yrs ago in my opinion. But I know there is a lot of big fish out there. Caught my fair share if them. Released them all. Never kept anything out of there over 4lbs and even then I felt bad. But that's just the way I fish. Not telling anyone to do what I do. Just throwing my 2 cents out there.

i wish they would care more about the fish and make it a slot limit... so all the big ones have to be released.... It would drastically bring up the average size of the fish! but they would have to enforce it. They could even start charging 20 bux to fish to cover the costs and then it would also keep some ppl out.

Id gladly pay more... Look at how many big bass are in there now.... just imagine if it was properly managed... It could become a trophy area.

You know thats never going to happen. All they care about is the ducks out there. If they did they would have to figure out how to get water in there during droughts and keep salt water out in the event of a big hurricane.
