Famous Food's on 14 just south of I-10 has some pretty good boudin and cracklins. Try those soft and spicy cracklins. Like Lays tater chips.

I like Chop's in Laffy. I agree with Billy's, he has better boudin but Best Stop has better cracklin

I know this started as a Lake Charles thread but we can't forget about NuNu's on Milton, Maurice, and Youngsville. They are by far my favorite to throw on the grill!
I also won't pass up an opportunity to stop in at Peto's in Roanoke for a link of smoked!

The Quik Stop at the corner of Hwy 10 and Hwy 13 in Vidrine is my favorite

Try the boudin eggrools dipped in Tobasco pepper jelly..... Every bite is worth the possible heart attack.

Default boudin

I buy the market basket boudin in Bridge City and they tell me it's made in Lake Charles. Get some cheese wiz and microwave to warm up. I put it in a Cajun injector and inject the link on each end. Doesn't take much.... Then smoke.....make ya hurt yourself! I try to stay away from it before I have blood work done.
I will try injecting the cream cheese next time.

Best I ever tasted was Charlie T's in Breaux Bridge. It's closed now tho. Is that recipe still being made somewhere?

This is mine.

Living in Pensacola makes it a challenge to keep stocked up on it.

When I hear a buddy is traveling from Texas / Lafayette areas to here, I order 40 pounds, pre-pay, and have it ready to ship. They simply walk in, state my name, and walk out with the product.

5 hours later. I am stocked for awhile.

I also get two bowls of hogs head cheese as well

The best stop ships all over the world. Just give them a call when you need some.

Thanks.

I know they do, but the cost is high opposed to having a buddy stop by.
