Tide and Wind direction

I am sure this has been posted on here before but is there a website I can use to determine tide movement and wind speed and direction for Big lake. Also Can someone explain how to judge the tidal movement in the north end of the lake, If Cal pass has high tide at 3:30pm then will turners have high tide around 4:30? Also is it best to fish a high tide, low tide, or does it matter as long as the water is moving?

There used to be a tide correction table in Gulf Coast Fisherman. I haven't purchased the magazine in a long time so I don't know if they still have that. Regardless, if you look around you should be able find a correction table somewhere.

Fishing is definitely best when the water is moving. Outgoing or incoming can both be good, but where you fish on each plays a part also. For example fishing a marsh cut on an outgoing where bait is being pulled out of the marsh and fish are ambushing.

If you find yourself with no tide, fish the edge of the ship channel and hope for a ship to come by. I've caught many a fish when a ship starts to suck the water off of a shallower flat. That's how critical water movement is to the bite at times.
