KajunDave has the same boat. That thing is a beast! Not too bad in the rough stuff. Maybe not the best by far in rough waves but a really good boat for BL. I have the 25TE and love it. Everyone has there own opinion these days, to each his own I guess. Learn to work the trim tabs.

Thats like walking in the voting booth, closing your eyes and pushing a random button. Then opening your eyes to see if you picked the right one. Example: presidential election

What can you compare it to? If you've been fishing in a 24triton Lts, than no it will feel like your riding in a dump truck! But if you've been riding in an 18ft flat boat then it will feel 100% better!
Just remember it is an over sized flats boat built on a pad and designed to get pretty skinny. In wich I may add its a good hull and plenty capable of running rough water given the operator knows what he or she's doing. Just be smart in your rough water voyages and the boat will take care of you!

I have heard they are fast but not great in chop. But I also don't know anything about anything.

Shearwater was making great boats at one point. Then for numerous reasons their quality control and customer service went down hill! It would be nice to see the company regain good standings, but when you start leaving bitter taste in people's mouths that invested good money in a product, well you know the rest!
I know of a dozen extremely happy Shearwater owners, and a dozen that would never buy another for good reasons!
I'll leave it at this, there's numerous boats that will do or can what a SW is capable of, some more and some less expensive. That comes down to preference. If you can afford it and the product is worthy of the money spent then so be it!
I bought an 08 in late 07 and its been worth every penny! Damn near flawless!
I do know of others that were garbage. Just my $.02

Ive heard some stuff about electrical problems recently with shearwater. They are decent boats just not worth what they cost IMO.
