Hairout Ruined Hunt

While hunting my goose and duck lease on the closing day of the first split. We encountered a hunter that walked up to our pit blind around 7:45-8:00 am during prime spec and snow/blue action. This individual claimed that we were hunting in his friend’s pit blind. Not only was he wrong and on our lease but he ruined our chance of a 5 man limit of specs and multiple chances at groups of snows/blues. This inconsiderate person was trying to hunt a friend’s lease neighboring ours which has not been hunted once during the first split. This individual was rude, inconsiderate, and a guest at someone else’s lease trying to kick us out of our blind.

We managed to salvage part of our hunt and take two specs and two snows, we would have had at least 4-6 more specs if it would have been for the inconsiderate lost individual. END OF RANT!

If that Ross' goose weighed 15 lbs, you just killed the WORLD RECORD Ross...

As bad as that sucks and as big of a douche the guy sounds like, I would have never set there arguing with him with birds overhead. I would have cooled my temper, swallowed my pride, and invited him in the blind and "worked everything out" after the hunt. At least you could have gone home with more birds and possibly his as well.

Before the guy left we jokingly asked him to pick up a Ross goose for us which was about 10 yards from the blind on his way out, and he said he would not go get the bird because it was still alive. One of the guys with us said well wring the neck, "you can’t wring a 15lb bird’s neck!"

No point in arguing with anyone when there are loaded guns within arms reach, no matter how big a chu (pronounced "chew" which is Cajun French for someplace where the sun never shines) this guy is. There will be other days to hunt.

That was my first thought on the situation so I was as level headed as I could be while also trying to show my aggravation...then I thought you know...it's a good thing I was civil with the guy cause I sure do like my truck and I'd hate to get to my blind and all my brush I'd burnt to the ground!

That's when you say "F IT" and be sitting at his buddies blind the next morning waiting for him. There are limits to how patient and understanding one can be.

Why didn't you just shoot him in the face. Blind people don't walk around tresspassing spoiling hunts.
