Default Leeville July 4th

Made a trip to Leeville today. Just getting in. Ended the day with 100 specks 20 reds 60 white trout and 12 flounders. My wife and our two kids fished our butts off today and had a blast. All of the trout came from under birds and the reds and flounder came from the Marsh. We threw back twice the number of fish we kept. Today was without a doubt one of the best trips ever. I hope everyone else had the same luck and enjoyed their 4th.

I have read a few reports and did not expect much. We fished bird island and cas tette island with nothing but hardheads and gaftops. Decided to give east timb island a try on the beach and never made it. We saw birds working and fished under them with tandem rigs. Caught trout two at a time with lots of throwbacks. None of the trout were big but we had fun. Late in the afternoon we headed into the marsh and caught our reds under corks. Didn't quit fishing until 8:00 pm. Made for a long day!
