I catch mine myself using perch hooks and shrimp or cast netting them on the channel

find a shrimp boat and work out a deal with them. Have meet them when they pull up nets. You can get more than you need.

Most of those are usually badly damaged baits, having been dragged on top of . Experienced guys who drag for their own croakers only pull for 5 minutes or so.

You just have to think like a croaker salesman and find him. He's kind of a nomad. Nobody really knows where he came from or where he's going next....
