Default Bait near cameron?

Does anyone know of a spot to get bait in the Cameron area? I can throw a cast net and catch some mullet but would like to get some crab and maybe some live croakers.

Also I've never fished from the shore in Cameron; how hard is it to get to the jetties or the beach on foot?

Thanks in advance for the help.

not sure if crab man is open. He's by ferry, forget buying croaker,Frozen mullet, cigar minows, etc can be bought at store in cameron.
To get to jetties you have to pay to get in the park. These jetties ain't made for walkin!
You can fish the canal on way to park and there is a pier in the park but thats all.
p.s. make sure ferry is running if your coming from h. beach

You may not have time to do it but I caught a tonnnn of small crabs in nets off dock in hackberry lately, if you spend about $10 on 10 nets, give it about 20 minutes, check em every 5 min, I think you'll have all the crabs you want. While you're waiting on that toss a dead shrimp on bottom and the croakaz will come a runnin
