Default Prien Lake/ Big Lake Bank Fishing spots

I have a buddy that wants to take his best girl fishing. They would like to catch some reds or trout. He does not have access to a boat. They want to fish somewhere from the bank or a pier. Can you guys provide some advice on places to try? Can he get cracked crab at Calcasieu Point Marina?

Thanks!

black drum, croaker, catfish and occasional sand trout at cal point. trout at the beach with multiple days of the right weather. there is a public wharf down big lake road...at the stopsign where you can turn only left or right, turn right. there arent a whole lot of bank spots for trout unless you have access to a lighted dock

I dont think cal point sells crabs

Cal. Point sells crabs. Or that's what their sign says.
Bank fishing at the Jettys in Cameron or at Sabine Refuge North of Holly Beach is prolly a better bet than Prien if you have no boat.

That parking area was in pretty bad shape last time I went there.
