Default Big fish

Made a trip to big lake this afternoon with some guys doing PDR work at our shop. Showed them around a little bit and tried some holes and got on a few trout and reds. Made a move to a marsh canal that had a pretty good tidal movement and ended up catching this big guy on a sand eel. He jumped completely out of the water at one point like a tarpon or something. It was pretty awesome catching it on a soft plastic and then seeing it fly out the water.

Nice, those are always fun on light tackle. I caught one about the same size last week on a swimming mullet. Got it in the boat, and when I looked away it decided to chomp down on my toe...

I kept him but gave him to a guy at work. I think I'll give cooking it a shot when I catch a bit smaller one. Cleaning it doesn't look to bad after watching videos but I didn't want to waste the meat if I don't like it.
