hammick, end of the point, cove, dry reef have been producing some trout, but mostly white trout. I also heard the birds are starting to work.....anything that looks like shrimp,i like sparkle beetles under a cork. Be prepaired to fight the crowds as much as the fish

You may want to him the rigs in the Tiger Shoal area. They are about 8 miles almost due South of the pass. Also, there are some good rigs in the Eugene Island area block. It would be worth for you to buy Standard Map # 55a. Also another good map is by Hook N Line #F117. This shows you all the blocks in the gulf. On FRI 3 of fished out of Freshwater City rigs (which is about 15 -20 miles west of the pass) and caught 55 all on Tusnami Swim Shads.

jpeff you look pretty close on most of your points. I see you have tee butte then a line pointing close to caldwell reef. Tee Butte is actually right where you have it written. Blue point is correct. I never knew which area they called dry reef. From the looks of it it is the place off the point where you always see 10,000 boats fighting to fish. Have you fished the beach at all by the entrance to shark bayou?

Ragin you are correct about TEE BUTTE. Dry reef is where that big production platform is in the bay from what I have been told. I have never fish that reef. FYI watch for the big water depth change at Caldwell reef..It goes from like 25' to 2' quickly once you start to move towards the bank.

That is redfish point. When you get close to it, you can see the gamewarden camp.

yeah, dry reef is about 4 miles out from the actual point. Its the area where all of the platforms are. Not all of them have reef beneath them though. Also, the hammock is a little further east of the point. You can see a small cove, there is a reef running down the middle of it. Everything else looks pretty good, with tete bute also being alitte further to the west. Alot of times you know where it is when your on the water, just tricky sometimes to find it on certain maps.

Go out the point past the hammock and continue east to the kitchen in cote blanche bay, fish the platforms there, shrimp on jighead, caught pretty good there the past few weekends.
