I would think the more "out of round" the more damage when they hit the bird. Just gotta hit em'! With the right choke they should still perform well.

I was in Monroe the last several days for my sons Dixie Youth baseball tourney. I drove about 30 minutes North to Bastrop to Simmons Sporting goods. Man that place is nice. They had the Federal 3", 1-1/4oz steel for 99 bucks plus tax. Picked up a case of 3's and 4's.

For teal season and early part of big duck season I used to shoot 3", 1-1/4" oz, 6 estate. A few years ago they quit making them in the 1-1/4oz. you can only get them in 1-1/8oz. I need all the BB's I can get.

My dad lives north of Bastrop La and if enough want shells from Simmons and will pay in advance, I can get him to pick them up or I will make a trip up and get them. Please understand, I do not want to get stuck with cases of shells that can't be returned.

Stopped at Simmon's a few times on my way to duck hunt in Arkansas. Cool place and they got some pretty good deals.

if you have the pocket book, the remington hd 2 3/4 #6 can not be beat. been guiding for 30 years and have not seen a better load. At the range you can kill them, you almost have to put salt in the load to keep the ducks from spoiling. Also kill specks out to 40 yds consistently. Almost like shooting the old 3" lead 4's
