Default Ranger aluminum boats

I'm looking at the Ranger aluminum bass boats at Lake Area Marine. Anyone own one and can give me their opinion?

Am torn between a glass boat vs. aluminum. I can buy a Ranger 18' aluminum with 115 Suzuki or Yamaha for around $23,000 loaded out with 24 V TM, 3 batt, alum trailer & spare. Closest boat in price in a glass boat is Nitro Z-6 w/ 115 merc opti or 4 stroke.

Thoughts?

Not sure. Want to buy local and the only things we have in LC are Henderson Marine that sells bass tracker and Jerry's marine in sulphur that sells Lowes boats.

My boss just bought that exact boat and he is in love with it. My uncle also has one, but he got the one with carpet and the 90 Merc. Zero complaints from anyone.

IN my opinion, it's the perfect aluminum bass boat. Got all the amenities of a regular glass bass boat for a better price. You can't beat the reliability of Ranger. The boat will be a little heavier than most aluminum boats because of the way they inject the foam in these which will give them a better ride. Plus it should run like a spotted a$$ ape with that 115 zuke on the back.

They sell xpress in beaumont and Crowley.... Ranger does make an awesome boat tho. I just thing a fully rigged 18ft needs more motor IMO... But you may not car about speed. The 18ft Xpress comes with a 150hp yammy.

I'd go with glass unless you have a reason to go with aluminum. Another thing to be aware of is Ranger is now owned by Tracker. I'm not sure how or if that will have an effect on Ranger quality or customer service.

As of now they are still being run as a separate company, nothing has changed with the exception of the new ownership.
