Black Salty baitfish
The fish is considered to be very durable and can last up to 1 1/2 hours on the hook in salt water. The other advantage to them is they are available year-round, unlike many other premium live baits. We'd like to know from you, our clients.. Would y'all be interested in using them a trout/redfish/flounder bait during the offseason, year round or not at all? Has anyone tried them or have experience using them? Here's a site with more info on Black Saltys: http://www.blacksalty.com/ Let us know what you think and thanks, any feedback is appreciated. Are they legal to import and use in La?
What happens if someone dumps a bucket of them? ( remember chichlids) Yes i would try them if the answers to the 2 questions are ok w/ the law and the enviroment. |

It seems to be fairly popular in Texas. Here's some pics from customer testimonials - ImageUploadedByTapatalk1334969765.620964.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1334969781.296566.jpg Sent from my iPhone 4s. |

Shoot, look at the size of that trout he caught.....Besides anybody wearing a black salty live bait t-shirt holding an 8 lb. trout with a baby carp hanging from it's mouth has got to be telling the truth. Put me on the list, heck I'll fish with em.

according to the site they need to be stored in freshwater so I wouldnt use them. and not just regular freshwater specially treated freshwater. you would have to have a portable baitwell on your boat unless you have a recirculate option on your livewell

I wonder how long the black salty would stay alive on the hook in saltwater? Have ya'll ever thought about carrying live mud minnows? They would sell like hotcakes

Croakers die very easily , especially if it's a bumpy ride going out there
