Default V-bay This Weekend

Man, with the water getting right it's going to be hard to not make a trip out this weekend? Ill more than likely go on Sunday. Now just to decide if I want to go to the point or out of intracoastal.
Anyone else giving them a run this weekend?!?!

Things will be interesting in the bay tomorrow to say the least. If rains hold out I am going to give it a try let the 'ole boat' get out and stretch her legs, but the water must be very smooth with my boat.

Intracoastal will have less morons....the reefs south of redfish point and the wellheads and platforms around the ship channel have been producing trout if that's what your after.

That's what I'm thinking. I fished there last Friday and the gafftops were thick and so were the sharks. Picked up some small trout also. Maybe they grew in a week!

Throw plastic on a 3/8 oz head should have less dealings with them. For sure don't chunk a cork, gafftop usa.

Ok! Ill have to try that. Towards the end of the day I started going for the sharks and playing around with catching them so I really can't complain about their numbers.
The platforms are the ones you can see southeast from 4 mile cut?

Just spoke to someone at Burns Point that was there yesterday. Water was muddy. No fish being caught from bank. One boat came in with 3 fish. Last Sunday another contact went to Redfish point. Bay was muddy but clear water coming out of canals.

Yeah there is one pretty large compressor station that is the most productive but they all can produce trout.

Kool deal! Thank you. Last week I was just giving the area a try and could see them but by the way the wind and weather were kicking up I had to head in with the bass boat....

I'm headed out in a couple hours. Just scattered storms. Your typical summer pattern. May have to dodge left, dodge right! LOL

Looks like I'm going to make a run in the morning! Aiming for around redfish point.
Got a variety tied on... Hope to find something hungry!
