Well, I have tremendous respect for anyone who is crushing the trout right now, because today was tough. I burned a lot of gas.

Launched solo in Prien just before daylight. Hit one light and got a quick limit of reds on pearl gulp swimming mullet. Nice. Should've loaded the boat and gone home.

Instead, picked up partner and went to honey hole on Prien. Nothing but lady fish. Water color was off, but clarity was good. Light incoming tide. The plan was to catch some mullet and fish the channel down south, but could not find any mullet at my usual spots. Back up plan. Live shrimp from CP. Took a look at L&G. Chocolate milk. Through Turner's water color was off, but clarity was good. Made a few casts. Nothing. Headed south. Stained down south. Moved to the Washout area. The water was perfect; green and clear near the channel. Tide had switched and was now falling but weak. Nothing much here. Channel marker 56. Stained. No trout. Pogie Plant. Dirty water. Took a flier on Lambert's area and found decent water despite the SW wind. Picked up a couple of fat trout including this random without a caudal fin. Shark attack perhaps? Headed all the way back to Prien. It was a long day of tough fishing.

We fished yesterday afternoon and it was tuff. Ended up with 10 nice trout and 2 reds. When we were running through the old river we saw a dolphin with no tail. Pretty neat. Don't know how that sucker could swim. Also pinky was putting on a display for us. That was the first time I've seen him/her.
