Default Big Lake 11 June 2010

Sweetie and I went yesterday. Made stops at the Washout, along the Ship channel, Joe's Cove, Turner's, LNG, and along the ICW. Caught 7 trout, 2 flatties, a keeper red and a bad wind burn. Threw back plenty rat reds and small trout. Water was muddy down south, pretty in the LNG. Red and flounder on shrimp. Trout on pearl/chart diet jerk jr. and one on a topwater that must have flipped three feet in the air.

Come on over......join the crowds. You can get to the Calcasieu Point landing in ~ 2 hours and 15 minutes from the Mississippi river bridge.

Would this be on a weekend or can you come during the week? I can help you out to learn the lake.

crabmeat stuffing in the river road cookbook. I even like to fry up some bacon crisp and chop it up and add to it. that stuffing in the RR1 cookbook is excellent.
