Have sll his amateur n pro fights. In his prime no man could stand in front of him. Ive watched him since early 83 when he came on the scene. Bein a boxer myself i always watched tuesday night fights and kept up with the sport. I lost alotta respect for him after he bit holyfield and after that he slid into oblivion losing fight after fight and was nothin more than a freak. Ive renewed my respect for him as hes handled lifes turmoil and strifes. Long live iron mike

Speckdaddy I feel same way about Tyson.
I started out boxing in 1978 or basically training as a kid due beat for lunch money.
Love sport and I think the saddest day in boxing for me was when Tyson bit Holyfield.
Tyson was baddest guy out there and brought people into world of watching boxing.
Now all the UCF cage fighter stuff which still got train hard but not same for me.

I cannot wait to see next guy come along to bring as much excitement to the sport as Tyson did.

I watched it. His punching power was incredible. I think most of those guy knew they were just earning a paycheck and that it was just a matter of time till he landed a solid one and put them to sleep. He sent the one dude out of the ring on a stretcher!

I agree.....Iron Mike was the man in my day. I have not seen anyone since hold up to the champion he was.

I watched michael moorer from his pro debut as a light heavyweight. Dude had 27-0 with 27 ko's. The then champ virgil hill refused ta fight him which is why he moved up to heavyweight. I knew hed be champ but he just couldnt keep it together to be a " great" champ. Iron mike was the last undisputed undefeated champ to unify the top three sanctioning bodies. They have too many idiotic wanna be championships out there.

Oh there they go. There they go, every time I start talkin 'bout boxing, a white man got to pull Rocky Marciano out their ***. That's their one, that's their one. Rocky Marciano. Rocky Marciano. Let me tell you something once and for all. Rocky Marciano was good, but compared to Joe Louis, Rocky Marciano ain't ****.

I remember growing up watching the Tyson fights with my grandpa. Remember when he gave that dude from Lafayette that horrific beatdown. If i recall correctly, the fight only lasted 83 seconds before they threw the towel in...

: Yeah, I met Dr. Martin Luther King in 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. I walkin' down the street minding my own business, just walking on. Feelin' good. I walk around the corner, a man walk up, hit me in my chest, right. I fall on the ground, right. And I look up and it's Dr. Martin Luther King. I said 'Dr. King?' and he said 'Ooops, I thought you were some body else.'

Peter mcneely, I thought he was from laffy. I remember watching him train one day right across from Pete's on Johnston.
