Default Reds on the fly (Delacroix) 5/27/11

Made a scouting trip for a upcoming tournament with Lucas( medheavy) to delacroix. We decided it was gonna be a flyrod only trip. We couldnt ask for a better day! Our first couple of stops produced nothing but dirty water and no fish. On our third stop we decided to pole deep into a grass bed, we found what we were looking for and everything came together, we saw well over 30 fish and managed to land 16 of them. Most fish averaged about 6.5 lbs. Biggest one going 9lbs 28". It was an awesome day!

I love the color of those clear water reds. Such a deep copper!

Great Pics and thanks for the report.

So what you're saying is, you didn't have any sitecasting to them once they were located. j/k Again, you two did a great job on dem reds. Good luck in the tournament!

Awesome day! Paul you are right about those reds in that clear, fresh water. Those little jewels are some pretty. You need to get your west side azz over here and let me put you on a few.

I have a Maverick Pathfinder, a custom built technical poling skiff designed to go skinny. She drafts in in 3" and floats in 6".

Lucas, I'm waiting until I can reciprocate the offer.
I am having my final surgery next Wednesday though and may change my mind before I come back to work. I'll be off for about 3 weeks and may get tired of sitting at the house waiting for work to let me come back.
