Hey guys I am new to the forum and trying to learn the big lake area. Is the reef in the North East corner in turners bay?

I have been fishing NE corner of big lake on several different reefs for over a month. One of which I didn't even know was out there. Turners Bay is full of reefs. If u really want to learn big lake the best thing is time out on water. Some move around a lot and catch fish. I prefer to bounce back and forth between one or two areas. Once those areas play out I will try a few more and fish those learning which ones produce better on incoming or outgoing tides. I have been pretty lucky this year. Been a great year fishing. I wish I'd slowed down and had the patience in my younger years that I have now. I have learned a lot this year but have put in the time. Just find something u have confidence with and go from there. Good luck. To answer ur question the reef I was referring to is not in turners bay.

Old boat that needs to be put up for winter and get some work done, lol. Been running it less than half throttle for two months now and yesterday it started losing fuel cutting out running out of gas. I want a new one so bad!! Its a 19' 1998 BayStealth with 150 Yamaha. Yes I regretted not buying the 21 foot my first trip on windy day. Solid boat but wet boat! Only thing ever done to motor is change plugs, oil in foot, and water pump. Every year boat has had as many hours as guides put on theirs in a year. 2008-2012 was mostly fresh water. Just an ugly ole boat but has had a lot of fish in her! All these Haynies, Nautic Stars, etc are so nice but yet so much more expensive! I paid $17,300 for mine brand new. Loves fuel and every trip seems like another 1\2 gallon of water comes out after pulling plug. One day I'll get that 23 foot with at least a 250 so I can run to Sabine or out to the rocks in Johnson bayou. Anyway it has been fun year of fishing.
