Default Sabine Lake

I normally fish on the north end of the lake, but I have been hearing the specs are on from the middle of the lake down. Is there a place to launch on the Louisiana side from the middle of the lake down?

Thanks

Go to Johnston Bayou, Deep water Bayou launch-puts you in the SE corner of the lake. And Sabine isn't that big, it's the best launch for fishing the LA side.

The launch at the bridge on the La side used to be terrible. This was a long while back.

Agree, Johnson Bayou launch is much better than the causeway. Plus lots of great fishing not far from the mouth of the bayou. Just make sure you stock up and get gas, because there in nothing out that way yet.

The LA side at the new bridge is pretty nice, you just have to get there early- everyone from texas is there. I'll launch there if I want to fish the jetties and gulf. And Crawdaddct is right there is nothing down there, they are building a gas station between deep water cut off and the state line.
