Default Perfect table fair between I-10 & 2-10

I seldom ever target redfish because they don't eat as good as trout to me. I remember when the size limit was 12" on reds and we used to night fish behind the down towner hotel in lake Charles and have a blast. Anyway this is as close as u can get to that now legally and one out of every five fish make that slot at 16"-17". A lot if small rat reds and pickle trout. I noticed tons of bait moving up just south of 2-10 bridge so hopefully bigger fish are coming. Its so easy to fish up here and for me I like fishing every chance I have and it can be very expensive! Not up here though. Until the winds lay down I'll be up here looking for some bigger fish. 7-6, 7-7, & 7-8-2016 all same results with one of them having kept no trout and other had two trout.

Default

I checked the I-10 gauge reading..... salinity is up to 2-3 ppt now. Trout will start showing up soon.

I might have to give that area a go at it soon.
