Default Toledo Bend 3-29 to 4-1

well not much to report on except that the fish weren't spawning just yet..atleast for us...went mainly to catch white perch and catfish...but barely managed a few of those...we stayed/fished in the pirates cove area...caught some bass, white perch, cats and a couple goo's and some tiny bream though..fried up all the perch and bass tuesday night, and brought home a bag of catfish.

other than not catching alot of fish we all had a great time and many beers cans were emptied....definitely a nice place and would go back anytime....stayed at the ft.polk recreation site in a mongolian yurt lol..was pretty cool.. had a A/C and heater, frig and microwave and bunkbeds...not bad for $25 a night

here's a couple pics...

Man i remember that place, i grew up staying there. My dad is retired from the Army so every weekend we could we would go and stay there but never seen that thing you stayed in. We used to stay in the trailers. On the opposite bank that your boat is docked on i caught the biggest choupique of my life when i was about 10 years old, i remember my dad told me it was a trash fish but i begged to keep it, so he cleaned it and gave it to some Vietnamese people that were staying next door.....they ate it
