Windy weekend on Toledo
Dad and I played around looking for brim and white-Sac-a-perch-lait's Saturday and didn't find much in the morning before the wind really picked up. Being that this was both of our first time on the lake in our own boat (mine) we decided to not really battle it and picked up by 10:30 that morning. We jigged some perch from a friend's boat house pier until around 1 and called it a day. On Sunday, we took a trip with Coon's Guide Service and had a great time. He did everything and we just relaxed and enjoyed ourselves. We put 40 or so in the boat but Coon fed his pet blue heron a few of the dink's. All in all we had a great weekend, grilled some ribeyes, drank a few and wet some line. |

You were in the first cove North of Cypres Bend down queens road? First large cove south of Pendelton on Louisiana side?

This was my first time fish in this area and only my second time on the lake. We did leave out of Cypress Bend and head north. As to which cove... It was windy as all heck and I was paying attention to not getting wet and watching that I didn't bust my arse. |
