I've got the hummingbird about that price. Nothing wrong with it, but I'm not impressed with the down imaging. Hopefully it's an operator error I'll figure out, but so far that feature had added no value.

I have the HDS-7 and have the standard maps E-card coming in the mail. anyone know if it's possible to load the standard maps high res background and then overlay map info onto it from another, like hook-n-line? If so, any suggestions on which to overlay?

Lowrance elite 7. Standard maps are the most detailed for the gulf coast marsh and the elite 7 takes those cards. I got mine for $650 a couple of weeks ago with an additional $100 rebate.

I just tried the new E-card out in my HDS 7 (Vermilion Bay). I'm kind of disappointed about how far I'm able to zoom in. For example, I can barely make out the Hog Bayou Weir by zooming in. Anyone else have one of these? Do I have a setting wrong?

If I had to do it over again.. I would have purchased the HDI 7 instead of the HDS 7 Touch.

I've had the E card by standard map for over a yr now... I'm extremely disappointted in it's performance.

I purchased the Navionics and think it's way more detailed. Have not removed it yet....

OH By the Way.. My vermilion Bay E-Card is for Sale..
