The boys take 10-15 minutes rinsing off the rods, the ice chests, and the boat after each trip. The slime has broken down into almost nothing by the time for cleanup and does not add to the time. Getting the salt off to prevent corrosion is the main reason for rinsing.

Being a bass guy I'm used to the ol swing, but last year I broke not 1, not 2, but 3 good bass rods on eating size red fish trying to boat swing em. Habits are hard to break, especially if you are desperately trying to boat more than the guy with you. And if you're stupid. Do own a prety gnar pair of CCA red handle express super ultimate boga grips though, still have plastic on them. Been my white elephant gift 2 years running.

Any suggestions on where to store a net in a bay boat besides a rod holder? Anyone using a collapsible type net? If so what kind/size?

Mine just stays on the floor behind the center console or on the seat when getting a lot of use.
