Default Big Lake Marsh/Weir question

11-14-09 is opening day of duck season on the west side of the state. I seem to remember something about the marsh being off limits durning duck season? Can you go through the weir to fish the marsh during duck season? If you cannot go all the way into the marsh can you at least go in and stay along the lake? I have a friend with some dead swimps aka stinky crickets in his freezer that are begging to be tight lined on the bottom for some weir fishing action.

Tried that when learning how to count these things, which by the way are much harder to count that one would think.

I don't like having to give the boys in green my autograph anymore.

They close the boat bay on Fri., the day before hunting season.
I saw a bunch of guys working on the boat bay today. It must be broke
or they are seeing if it works.
You can still fish outside the weirs, as long as you stay outside the signs.

No hunting or fishing in that part of the refuge during hunting season.
They want a place for the ducks to have refuge for the whole season.
Duck hunting was never allowed in that section. I hunted right on the
South fence line of that refuge for 25 years. Great hunting back there
due to all the ducks that got up in the mornings.
