You can fish the beach area at cypremorr point but that's about it. Grand Isle prolly has the best no boat fishing in the state. Just a little further than a hour.

yeah grand isle is great side of the road and beach fishing. Its about a 3 hour drive though

Welcome to south la. I think you can fish in lake Charles from a pier at night and catch some reds and specks. One of the other guys will know more. It isn't that far to drive from Lafayette.

I could probably spend the day at Calcesieu Point Landing. It's the nicest public launch and fishing within 90 minutes of Lafayette as far as I'm concerned. Lots of folks fish there.

I think there's a couple of spots along Highway 27 south of Hackberry too
