Default ATv title?

Would you buy an ATV without a title? What if the seller offers a bill of sale? What's the risk? Nearly all dirt bikes are bought/sold without titles.

Most ppl who buy an atv loose their title bc there is really no need for it. I bought an ATV w/o a title and just had the VIN ran to make sure it wasnt reported stolen. The only drawback of not having a title is that you cannot get insurance on it.

if you want to go on a wma you need a title...if you get stopped...for whatever reason and they run your vin and it comes up stolen, your bike is gone.

Trust me its a *****, It took me 2 1/2 years to get a title for mine. Like what yakr said no insurance either. I would run the vin though just in case.

Just FYI for everyone. This is better than insurance. Go find your stolen item and beat some azz! $100 bucks a year is cheap for this tracking service.
