Default Lets talk bass fishing....

Was doing a little googling-----Seems the new bait for bass fishing this spawning season is a ........................................ wait for it...................................... turtle !!!!!

http://bombshelllures.com/bombshell-turtle-lure/#more-1

3" turtle....... Sure seems legit to me.... Anyone ever seen this kind of bait ?? Might order a pack to try them out this spring.

Hmmmmm
I just finished shooting all the turtles in my pond......
Ya know I never really thought about a bass eating a turtle.... Guess bc most time I see a turtle is grown.... But I can see how a baby turtle could pi$$ off a mama bass on her bed.
Ill order some and give y'all a report.... From "wolf lakes".....

haha true. Ive never seen a lizard either but they work.

Im sure it will work as a reaction bait. Seems like a 3" turtle is big enough to bite. Bass eats turtle and doesnt kill it because of its shell. Turtle wont drown either. Turtle bites bass in stomach. Bass learns to not eat turtle.

It kinda makes spence that small turtles would raid a nest and with the right size fish to a small turtle but I never thought I would see it as a bait lol. Can you imagine the people in lacassine this year, it would take one person catching a good fish on a turtle and you won't find a pack

FYI turtles do drown. I do believe the bait will work. Along with anything for a bedding fish. If the fish wont leave the bed it can be caught weather it be a turtle, lizzard, creature bait, craw bait, worm or even car keys used. I caught fish off beds with just a hook and no bait IN THE MOUTH. Get them mad enough they bite! Go by academy or walmart and get some garlic spray in the black can. Dont spray it on your bait until you have a stubborn bass on a bed that dont take the bait. Let her see it a few times and pass it up. Then spray it and hold on tight. But as far as bass eating a turtle because its a turtle? Im not at all saying it can not happen (people find them in bass all the time) but its main forage at that time is bluegill and small intruder fish. I hope the turtles land the people who buy them some hogs. But always remember.... fishing baits catch more fisherman than they do fish.
